nonsurgical treatment for entropion

This patient was leaving to clinic when I stopped him and his wife to see what was the reason for the tape on his face. His wife told me that his "eyelid turned in and the doctors wanted to do surgery but he did not want surgery".

She has been applying the tape treatment for 5 years with good results.

I have never seen this simple technique used for entropion and think it deserves publication. Check out e-med.http://www.emedicine.com/oph/topic212.htm Posted by Picasa

Was this nonsurgical option suggested by the doctor or did they come up with that on their own?

The wife "discovered" it herself.
