Quote of the Day on Computers

I have to pass on this quote from Robert X. Cringley I got from the Quotations Page's, Quotes of the Day: "If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside." File this under 'its funny because its true'.

  2. Yes, well I know at least 1 redhead who would neither get it nor laugh. It is probably safe to assume that none of the above would claim to have ever heard of Moore's law, though I have mentioned it to the redhead many times.

  4. Okay the redhead wanted it to be clear that she both laughed and got it, and that it doesn't take a genius to see the humor there. She still knows nothing of Moore's law though.
