Don't shave your PUBS!!

Following the last 2 posts I must now relate a case and thus the admonition.
A large woman treated on 2 occasions at a local er, on the 3rd visit was found to have cellulitis of her entire mons--extending into abd. and lt. leg. She had no pubic hair(didn't ask about underwear). She spent a week in hospital. Knowing that most ID specialists reccommend clipping rather than shaving prior to surgery(microcuts lead to infections), I have concluded that the current "fashion" of pubic hair removal and the epidemic of MRSA are combining to cause us more trouble. I have polled 3 ID people and they all agree--that if the hair must go---clip don't shave.

  1. I think BB told me once that he just uses Nair.

  2. That is certainly acceptable. Would you correct my cellulitis in the original post?

  3. Sam, I would steer clear of the whole pubic hair removal thing. BB once heard someone ask a girl if her "carpet matched her curtains" and he thought it must be a cool trait, which it may be. But I don't think it is cool for your "linoleum to match your ceiling". You don't want to go there.

    Sorry to upset you Madman
