Complications of Living in a Vegetative State


This is the right buttocks of a 64 year old male who has been in a semi-vegetative state for over 10 years following several strokes. The ulcer was approximately 11 cm diameter. He has been receiving agressive surgical debridement and may soon have an amputation.
