Cacoethes Cognitum
The irrational yet irrestible urge to know or make known. The CC is a "club" founded by a small group of medical professionals, who have made a pastime of turning medical cases and discussions into medically irrelevant history lessons, philosophical rants, and displays of one-upsmanship. The official premise, since the "club" was named, has been to exchange and discuss various books, movies, and ideas. Sometimes we eat sushi.

How did you feel about The Gates?
Were you inspired or did you have a hiatus of wonderment?
They were the zeinth of saffron. I have many more pictures some worthy of publication in, well maybe Occasions.
What an incredibly insightful use of words.
"Zeinth (Zenith) of Saffron": Saffron being a corn producing plant with orange stigmas(stigmata) or simply the color of these stigmas.
Stigma has a dual meaning here: 1)In botany, as above, it is the receptive apex of the pistil of a flower, on which pollen is deposited at pollination and 2)A mark or token of infamy, disgrace, or reproach.
It seems that in this light, The Gates could be like the reproductive organs of a large flower, with humans as pollinators to some people, and to others it may represent a disgraceful mark of infamous waste.

You know I love it when you rant and when you employ tangential thinking--well I can't help but be proud. But I do detect a hint of acrimony in your verbiage. Do you want a fight or justication by me of 2 old people spending 17 years of their lives and 17 million dollars of their money for 3 weeks of blissful saffron?
If is all about waste of time and money what about the inauguration, the academy awards, a fourth of July celebration?
By the way have you seen I "heart" the Huckabees, and Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind? There is room for discussion with both.
I don't think I really gave my opinion on the value of the project, I was just reflecting what I had seen New Yorkers say about the subject on TV.
I have seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and it is definitely atop my list of must see movies, I had intended to mention it sometime along the way. I have not seen I Heart Huckabees.
Well, do you want to give an opinion or am I going to have to continue to read between the lines?
