no scalpel flashectomy

I would like to congratulate flash on performing the first 100,000 dollar vasectomy. That's what his pt is going to have pay to treat all the complications he is having. For someone who prides himself on eliminating scrotal bleeding, this pt almost exsanguinated into is scrotom. I hear next time instead of the no scalpel vasectomy, he's going to try the no grenade vasectomy.
happy snipping

That's a little harsh there "chief." At least I stepped up to the plate to do something productive instead of sitting on my derriere in the bossman's office. I'm sure the patient's scrotal hematoma had nothing to do with my technique. Besides, I have the scrotal ultrasound which proves that no vital structures were dammaged during the procedure. The hematoma formation was simply a fluke; a statistic. Kinda like your recent political victory.

In the flashman's defense, we all know or should know the scrotum and its contents are precious, and being so are invested with a immense vascular supply. This is the reason the no scalpel technique was developed.

Having personally done many, many vasectomies, and had several, quite a few, ok many hematomas--this is the second thing I counsel the patient about as to complications. The first is that it might not work, and their partner might become pregnant.

Another thought or two, Flashman makes
several points and the read between the lines wisdom of Franklin is "nothing ventured nothing gained". Now if Ben didn't say that I'm sure he wished he did. Keep on truckin' Dr. Franklin!

Second thought I'm going to NYC this weekend and plan to see the Alexander Hamilton exhibit at the New York Historical Society. All you who have listened to the cd and appreciate this under-recognized hero
of the Revolution period, will be appropiately jealous.

The lost episode of "My Life" is FOUND!

Clay, I will be coming home tomorrow pm and I can bring it to you or can come and get it. Remind me to tell you who I saw today.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my patient with the scrotal hematoma is doing some better. If I can just keep him out of the ER, and at home lying on his back, I think he will make a full recovery. All wounds heal with time. Even ones inflicted by close friends, who post mean self-esteem crushing comments on a web site. Not mentioning any names.

Flash, do you remember the public service ads, "words can hit as hard as a fist"? Well, that is true, but I have a corallary of that statement which can put things into perspective: "Brad's words can hit as hard as Brad's fist."
There now how does that feel? Feel it? Kinda tickly?
